How to stay centred in uncertain times
Uncertain times can be the best opportunities to put learning from our individual paths into practical use.
We can all think of situations where we may have asked ourselves...what is the meaning of this?
Sometimes we find answers and sometimes we don't and either way, it’s likely that we experienced something deeply moving or profound which has taught us something. Now is the opportunity to put that learning of a specialist life skill into practice.
I am thinking about life lessons how did they shape our lives? How did we stabilise from them when we have felt shaken or fearful from a past event? What did we do that helped us before and how can we use those resources skilfully now, during the global health pandemic of Covid-19?
These are broad questions and I am being drawn to the common thread globally which unites us all. In that that thread there are aspects like:
1: We don't know enough about it so we are learning together as the testing and scientific knowledge unveils. We must unite and be accountable of our actions.
2: We are having to stop waste by default. we had been attempting to do so for a while and now we are compelled to have mindful buying behaviours.
3: This is a time when Sensitives, Intuitives and Empaths can find a platform to help themselves and support others. The world needs us and our light can help collaborate with science and data to lead the way collectively.
Staying centred does not mean we have to learn a new skill. To me it means doing the tings I always do that make me feel good and to keep doing it in and amidst the chaos all around.
For me this means...
Carving out time to slow down, focus on breathing and practise the art of being present.
Self care such as adequate sleep, connection with family and friends and simple pleasures
Connecting with nature, whether that's observing a magnificent rainbow a fleeting butterfly or a bird.
It may seem too simple and it may seem not to be appropriate when there is a lot of uncertainty but I keep my daily rituals intact because I know that I make better decisions when I have rested and slept well, I am able to connect with my heart when I have experiences that bring me joy and I feel better and enjoy good health when I reflect and make time to observe nature. All of this supports my immune system.
If we look at times of uncertainty in the past, however challenging, when we overcame them, it brought about profound progression in our evolution and consciousness. I feel it is worth progressing and worth being a good example of strength and poise to be a good role model for my family, my clients and people I meet.
